The village of Poulshot has always been known as Poulshot docks.
This was because of the number of ponds that used to be on the green. Maybe it should change its name this year to Poulshot Ducks!

1928 photograph retouched to hide physical damage on the original. The repair was kindly undertaken by Terry Nicholls, a resident of Poulshot Bakery, as a child. Â Poulshot Bakery, at 36 Poulshot Road, baked goods for sale in Devizes.
